Alexander and Dr. Simons had a great one year visit. Alexander left with a big silver balloon and a smile on his face.

A birthday Wish

For 38 long weeks it was just you and I. I held my belly each night wondering who was inside there, what you looked like and how I would feel when I finally got to meet you. Would I be a good mother? Would we love each other instantly? Then 1 year ago today my life changed forever. I was scared at first but that feeling quickly went away when I looked into your eyes and realized that we had been blessed with wonderful gift. A gift I would never take for granted and a gift that I would love every day of my life like it was the last.

Each day you are here I cherish you more and more and I want you to know Dear boy that you have changed my life forever. I will always try to be the best person I can be for you. I will always protect you and I will always love you more than anything in this world.

You were meant to be our little boy and you are very very special to us both. Happy Birthday sweet one and I hope each day of the next year will be just as wonderful as this first year has been for us all.

Wow a great day, he's walking and into everything. Alexander loved his cupcake and did great at dinner.

O my It's been so long

Well so much has happened. Alexander took his first step, then another and more and more.

I've been thinking a lot about this year and how blessed we are to have such a sweet and loving boy.

Almost a year...can you believe it? Last year I was rubbing my belly wondering if we were ready, would he like us, what he would look like. Alexander has been a real blessing and I can't wait for this next year and all of his new milestones.
