Alexander 2 months

As you can see Alexander was waiting for Mommy and Daddy to get ready. He was ready to go, he even had shoes on. Daddy let him watch poker. Alexander did great. He got all four shots, he cried for a minute, mommy was a wreck. Daddy was so proud of him.
He weighs 12 lbs 7 oz and is 23.25 inches long..WOW!
We took a great walk into Golden Gate Park to look at the Rose Garden. Alexander thought it was a perfect place to have a picnic
He had a long day and was off to sleep by 7:30.

8 weeks 1 day

Alexander loves "tummy time". He has been doing his push-ups daily.
These last two weeks Alexander have been very alert. He enjoys going to baby yoga. I love spending this time with him
We still wake up in the middle of the night, twice. Well Eric doesn't wake up.

Sept. 19th

Mommy decided to start the blog today which was fine but Daddy had to work all day. So when Daddy got home tired and exhausted he got guilted into having to write something immediately! So I apologize if this is short and to the point. The Boys' go down to Green Bay this weekend and Alexander and I can't wait for Sunday night. I predict a big win for Romo and the Boys'. That's it. Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two weeks

More Sophia pictures. I picked my favorites. Alexander was so well behaved and happy that day.

July 29th 2008 Going Home

We didn't leave the hospital at the time we planned, because Dad had some issue getting the car seat out of the car. Thank god we had help, boy did we need it! Grandma Claire was a godsend.

Alexander Dean

Eric was very proud that the time stamp on the camera said 10:47. Alexander came crying into this world.
The proud daddy never left his side. He was able to cut the cord, while holding the camera.

Going to the hospital

6 a.m. on the 25th I was wide awake ready to go. My bag had been packed for weeks, waiting by the door. 6:30 I told Eric it was time to get up, he did not want to get out of bed. "Come on we need to go to the hospital to have a baby!" Eric just said" It's to early!" On the road by 7:00 we arrived at the hospital by 7:45. Both mothers had been called and we sat in the waiting room, guess who complained that he could have been in bed. Claire arrived ready to greet her new grandson. So here I lay at 9:00 after an hour of filling out paper work. I was ready to go......Dr. Bason -Mitchell was late, what's new about that. 10:15 Eric was let into the surgery room. To soothe my nerves Eric sang "Tainted love" to me. Apparently the beeping of the heart monitor reminded him of a Levi's commercial...So I got tainted love. The Dr. asked "tell me when you feel the first cut" . She announced I was to late they were in. I heard the Dr. say there's his butt, 10:47 he was out. Eric was with him the whole way. 6lbs 6oz 19.5 inches long. We had our beautiful baby boy.

Baby Shower

She's having a boy!!
Join us for a Baby Shower Luncheon
Honoring
Eric and Heather
Linda hosted our baby shower at
Il Fornaio on June 22nd at 12:00 noon
It was such a great day. Eric had the guys and I had the girls. Claire surprised us with the table decorations. The bears made the tables and the cupcake table look so festive and fun. Alexander got so much. Cute clothes, a high chair, a small swing, a handmade blanket, a Chico carrier, a Bjorn carrier. His first football, dad's favorite gift.

34 weeks

So here we are at 34 weeks pregnant. I'm starting to slow down, looking forward to holding Baby Alexander in my arms. I'm very happy we had these pictures done. Sophia did a great job. Eric even smiled! Wow!

Class

Eric and I spent many hours in our classes learning all we could about being new parents. Well I spent many hours, Eric fell asleep a few times. He was so proud of this shirt, it was the first gift he got me when we found out Alexander was on the way. Needless to say these classes didn't prepare us for what to do once we got Alexander home. Although we did learn how to swaddle which has come in handy.

It's a boy!!!

3/3/2008 at 4:17 p.m we found out we were having a boy. Secretly I new I was having a boy. I even dreamed about our little one. I had to tease Eric " What if it's a girl" I'd say. Eric always said "Nope, I'm having a boy". When the tech told us it she was sure it was a boy, Eric got up and did a dance. Yes he danced and started texting everyone. He even texted his banker by accident. When this was done he asked for my phone to start texting my friends. I suggested he might want to wait so we could call our mothers. I was a mess crying and filled with so much joy. Now we had to name him....

12 weeks 4 days

Baby Alexander, Wow what can I say about the day we first saw him. I was so nervous, Eric was one cool cat. I cried the first time we heard his heart beat. Our sweet boy did not want to be bothered and turned over to show us his butt. The tech said he was sleeping and Eric said " He likes his sleep just like his old man" He was already calling our little one a boy. We called our mothers with the good news that we had a healthy baby.
